video production

From first concept to delivered product, I can provide full HDV 1080i production and editing facilities.

Based around a Sony Z-1 camera, my broadcast quality kit also comprises radio mic, basic lighting, Glidecam and motion controlled timelapse. Be it shooting, editing, graphics, DVD and on-line compressions, cover design and disc duplication, I can meet all the requirements of corporate, music promo, educational, shorts and documentary film making.

With over 15 years experience in the field, and drawing from a pool of seasoned, professional crew, your production will be overseen and completed to a high standard, combining a wide variety of techniques to produce a unique visual sensibility, all at a very reasonable cost.

Shooting HD 720p on location in the US for the feature length documentary MIRAGEMEN

My video documentary CROPPIES was broadcast by Channel 4, Carlton UK and WGBH in 1999.

“Consisting primarily of craftily edited interviews with the movers and rakers on all sides of the circle equation, CROPPIES is a sympathetic, engaging and often hilarious portrait of their insular world. As a visual document of the crop circle circus, CROPPIES is unbeatable.”

- FORTEAN TIMES MAGAZINE

My audio documentary THE FIRE THIS TIME was released by HIDDEN ART RECORDS in 2002.

"....terrifying and timely....assembled with such originality that it creates its own new genre ...."

The showreel below was co-directed with Mike Greenwood, and is one of three programmes produced for Pier Productions / Open University on the subject of 'Sacred Spaces.'

Aside from the archive crane and aerial shots of Stonehenge at the start, all three pieces were produced with my production kit, plus Glidecam and timelapse, and were edited in-house on my home system running Premiere and After Effects.

Apologies for the 30 seconds of colour bars that preceed the film - Running time: 19:40
